Throughout my involvement with the animal rights in the UK, US, and Europe since 1976, I have written and published on animal advocacy and the moral and legal status of animals, including

  • My book, Growl: Life Lessons, Hard Truths, and Bold Strategies from an Animal Advocate, published by Lantern Books in 2014
  • Edited printed newsletters and magazines for various organisations, including Compassion In World Farming, British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
  • Edited and published an independent animal rights magazines, The Animals’ Agenda
  • Edited two anthologies of articles previously published in The Animals’ Agenda, which are Speaking Out for Animals and A Primer on Animal Rights
  • My articles are in anthologies from academic and popular publishers
  • Collaborated with the artist Sue Coe on Topsy, An Elephant Never Forgets
  • Created Web sites and managed their content, including for my evil twin, the Grumpy Vegan
  • Written book reviews
