On March 1, 1826 Chunee the elephant was shot and stabbed to death by soldiers when she was imprisoned at the Exeter Exchange in London. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chunee #elephants
Can anyone please help me with this information? I recall in the last week or so someone shared a recent press report about 1 million chickens freezing to death in the USA. Please share with me if you have a link to the report. Many thanks! #farming #animals
I can’t help thinking that this story is going to be used to prepare the public for a repeal of the ban on fox hunting. It’s amazing what a few well placed panicky tabloid (and broadcast media) stories can do to change people’s view of an issue. Soon we’ll be seeing stories claiming that a return to fox hunting is necessary to protect children.
